3 DAY BLUES/ROCK
ELECTRIC GUITAR WORKSHOP Robin will host a 3-day Blues/Rock Electric Guitar Workshop on Friday/Saturday/Sunday 5th,6th,and 7th June 2009 at the Berrylands Hotel, Chiltern Drive, Surbiton KT5 8LS The Workshop will be a mixed ability group players and improvers...a minimum of approximately 1 years playing experience is required with knowledge of basic open and barre chords and simple pentatonic scales...Some Tablature reading will be used and help with all these skills will be given...!! The Program will consist of technical exercises to improve rhythmic chordal work, single note lead playing and comping skills,and self accompaniment help will be offered. A repertoire of Classic Rock/Blues material will be worked on..Improvisation and jamming will be worked on to help build confidence and we aim to have fun too..!! And finally there will be a gig on the sunday night in the workshop venue for anyone wanting to show off what they have learned...!! Participants in previous workshops have found the experience to be rewarding, greatly confidence building and fun..plus the chance to meet other like minded people... Participants will need to bring their own instrument...some backline will be offered but players are welcome to bring small to medium sized amps and effects pedals if they wish...
